Be sure also to not forget the CIA's attempts to impose "culture."
See e.g. the recent book _The Cultural Cold War: The CIA and the
World of Arts and Letters_ by Frances Stonor Saunders. Do you
really want the CIA determining the domestic culture? See e.g.
the links on the page

http://www.datafilter.com/mc/pressCoverups.html

Then there is the long trail of suspicious links from the CIA and
other intelligence agencies to religious movements like those at
Jonestown. The sort of people common in intelligence agencies tend
to view religion as nothing but politics -- a way to control people
-- and so religious persecution is actually, in their intentions, an
attempt at political manipulation.

Perhaps their supreme arrogance is imagining that no one else can
understand the transparent manipulations they are up to. It is
not difficult at all, and they are not that bright. It hinges
on a willingness to discard normal notions of humanity while
imagining that all other humans cannot see that. Are Americans
Christianized into stupidity? I remember understanding
Kissenger's smug philosphy as a young man, and I heard Gordon
Liddy speak as a first year undergraduate about the true mindset.

Do you believe in God? Then you are my psyop sucker; I'll sell
you every line of crap I can, including genocide, based on that.
See, it is easy. Even when I bluntly tell you this directly you
still wonder about it, though you suspect it in your heart. You
do not want to believe it. That is a powerful motivation for self-
deception. You also have won ten million dollars. But to collect
you will have to send me a small $1000 processing fee. Congratulations!
